Brook & Whittle is seeking a diligent and organized Inventory Specialist to join our team. This entry-level position is crucial for ensuring the efficient management of our label inventory and production scheduling. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for overseeing existing inventory, interpreting data from incoming orders, analyzing trending data, and maintaining accurate inventory counts. The role demands a proactive and productive mindset, keen attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage Inventory Levels: Ensure optimal inventory levels of label rolls, minimizing shortages and overstock.
  • Schedule Production: Create and adjust production schedules based on order data, trends, and current inventory, ensuring timely fulfillment.
  • Analyze Data: Interpret data from various sources to forecast inventory needs and make informed decisions.
  • Maintain Records: Keep precise and up-to-date inventory records to support smooth operations and accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate with Teams: Work closely with the production team to align inventory needs with manufacturing schedules.
  • Generate Reports: Provide regular inventory reports that highlight status, trends, and potential issues.
  • Solve Problems: Address inventory-related challenges proactively, implementing effective solutions to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 20 lbs unassisted (or more occasionally).
  • Must be able to stand for the majority of shift – 2 hour increments.
  • Short distance walking required with rolls to be placed on shipping table.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.
  • Must be able to differentiate between color variance.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.
  • Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment – exposure to some hazardous conditions but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. Safety regulations in place following OSHA guidelines.

  • Required to sit, stand, reach, bend and move about the facility including office and production areas; may be required to lift up to 20 pounds
