Sprout Behavioral Health is a mental health and behavioral health agency, serving youth in foster care.
BEHAVIORAL AIDE SPECIALIST and TRANSPORTERS who will earn $16-20 / hour depending on experience, caseload and expertise. Behavioral Aides & Mentors typically takes place in youth’s homes and in the ATLANTA, GA AREA & SURROUNDING CITIES.

What are the role and responsibilities of Behavioral Specialist and Transporters?
The Behavior Specialist will provide behavioral support and intervention services for youth & young adults.This position is intended to provide community-based services; target population consists of individuals that have or had risk of school suspension due to behaviors, juvenile justice involvement, out-of-home placement, or individuals transitioning back into the community after experiencing out-of-home placement.
Transportation is a big ask. Provide transportation to various DFCS required appointments or services (school, visitation, placement to foster / group home / facility, etc.)Provide skill building and behavior management in the home, community, school or hotel setting.Provide supervision to family members that are receiving supervised visitation for families that are working towards reunification.Provide skill building and behavior management in the community in coordination with the therapist and care coordinationAssist with personal development, school performance, work performance, and functioning in the social and family environment through teaching skills / strategies to ameliorate the effect of behavioral health symptoms.Provide individuals with personal development skills (de-escalation techniques, communication skills, home / social behaviors, etc.).Manage a caseload of up to 10-12 clients; The number of consumers on caseload is based on the frequency of sessions and typical direct service hoursMust be willing to work in the community neighborhoods, the home, school, and hotel settingsCollaborate and communicate with an assigned care coordinator, therapist, caregiver, daycares, schools, courts, and other entities involved with the plan related to the familySupport the consumer / family in managing or preventing crisis situations; Notify the appropriate clinical staff or agency before, during, or after crisis situationsTraveling to home and / or schools is required, with sessions being held face-to-face in the community at a minimum of 75% of the time; telehealth sessions are allowed for certain situations after being discussed with and approved by the supervisor50% of sessions must be done in the home to be able to model learned skills, interventions, etc. with caregiversTimely documentation of all case activities in accordance with policyAttend agency meetings and trainingsAdhere to the vision and mission of the agencyRequirements :

Ideal position for someone with direct service experienceMinimum of 5 years’ experience providing Behavior Aide / Paraprofessional Services (currently provides services or has direct experience) or Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field OR high school diploma and 5 years’ experience in the human services field.Human Services degrees are Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Social Work, Child Development, Community Mental Health, Human Services, Criminal Justice (only with Juvenile experience / DJJ)Must be able to pass a background checkHave reliable transportationStrong administrative skillsAccess to the internet, a computer, and a smart phoneExcellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skillsMust be resourceful, an independent and critical thinker, and self-motivated
Salary : $16 - $20
