We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through effective four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments and visits.
- Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently, acting as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
- Uphold aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and prosthodontics is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is desirable.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with children and their families.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in dental radiography is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
