Analyst, Merchandising Tests and Initiatives

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team that plays a crucial role in driving sales and profit growth for Sprouts. As an Analyst for Merchandising Tests and Initiatives you will support the Merchandising & Sprouts Brand teams by providing reporting and data-driven insights on various projects and initiatives. 

In this role, you will track, analyze, and present findings related to major merchandising initiatives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, operations, supply chain, and other support functions, to help setup and implement key tests related to company initiatives that enhance sales and profitability.

You will also work with the Sprouts Brand team across all store departments to provide reporting around item productivity and category roles, while providing recommendations around product merchandising, pricing, and promotional effectiveness.

Your work will be meaningful for Sprouts by helping us maintain our leadership position in the Natural channel. You will conduct sophisticated analyses to support strategic decision-making and prepare reports and commentary that communicate your findings effectively.

• Design and implement scalable reporting and analytical tools to review initiative results
• Present analysis and recommendations to various levels of the organization
• Collaborate with team members to support major merchandising initiatives
• Work with business partners to understand their analytical needs and support solutions
• Use internal and external data to conduct analyses with guidance
• Maintain an overview of tests and initiatives for consistency and communication
• Learn about different departments and channels to ensure effective analysis

• Bachelor’s Degree is required in Analytics, Finance, Economics, Data Science or a related field
• 3 years of financial/analysis experience required; Grocery or retail experience preferred
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and experience with business intelligence software; Power BI preferred
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Experience with budgeting, planning, modeling, and forecasting systems a plus
