What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Engineering Coordinator position at Sprouts Farmers Market?
Please note this position is based out of our Support Office in Phoenix, AZ. The Facility Engineering Coordinator will dispatch and manage service technicians for equipment repairs in Store locations and working closely with vendors and Store Managers to ensure adequate service is provided on behalf of the store, including follow up and tracking of non-resolved issues.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Respond to repair needs and maintenance requests from the Store locations and follow up with vendors as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining communication with Store Managers, Regional Directors, Regional VP’s, national accounts and contractors.
- First point of contact for internal and external customers seeking support and information from the Facilities team; maintain daily office operations
- Utilize the Site Manager system to troubleshoot and dispatch accordingly for refrigeration, lighting, and HVAC equipment issues.
- Manage complex relationships with landlords and contractors to ensure that corrective action is taken on warranty work orders.
- Engage Lease Administration, Construction, and Legal teams as needed when landlord/contractor compliance issues occur.
- Coordinate repairs with the Risk Management team to ensure facilities are operating in a hazard free environment and in compliance with Local, State, and Federal codes.
- Procure new vendors in new markets due to current business growth needs.
- Administer key performance measures which include managing the overall facility maintenance processes and improving the bottom-line profitability by minimizing cost as it relates to repairs.
- Maintain records and contracts, coordinate project activities and provide scheduling support within the Facilities team.
- Responsible for the GreenChill (EPA) certification and recertification of all Store locations.
- Direct sales initiative projects and roll outs at creation of purchase orders to project completion.
- Support Facilities Management team in executing tactical and strategic objectives.
- Contribute and support process improvements to align with business needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by clerical coursework
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in general office responsibilities and procedures preferred; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to work on cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of bookkeeping
- Ability to gather and monitor information
