As a Strategic Pricing Intern, you will support our pricing department by analyzing elasticity, competitive intelligence and market trends to help determine optimal retails for our products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing and implementing product pricing strategies by market analysis. Depending on performance and company needs, there may be opportunities to progress into more advanced roles within the pricing area or other departments.
Overview of Responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the pricing department and various internal stakeholders. Your main focus will be on utilizing data and analytics to drive profitability and growth through our pricing strategies and effectively communicating recommendations to your merchandising partners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and administer pricing recommendations based on price and promotional strategies, competitive data and elasticity.
- Generate, analyze and distribute pricing insights with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively across different areas of the business.
- Monitor and analyze customer buying patterns to identify potential pricing opportunities.
- Potential knowledge building project.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to solve problems using data analysis techniques.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
- Quick learner with the ability to navigate and utilize database systems and protocols.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Pursuing a BA/BS degree in economics, business, finance, statistics, or a related field.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a BA/BS program in business, finance, statistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest or prior coursework in pricing analysis or financial management is a plus.
