Senior IT Business Analyst

Please note this position is based in our Phoenix, AZ Support Office.  The role is a hybrid work schedule.  The Sr Business Analyst position will play an important part of the applications support lifecycle process at Sprouts. This will include being part of the software selection, development, and implementation processes. The candidate for this position will have prior experience interacting with stakeholders, vendors, and developers to ensure complete collection, documentation, and implementation of requirements. This role will also require strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and collaboration skills in addition to the ability to lead and guide teams through the project lifecycle with minimal supervisory direction.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain multiple product backlogs by working across various teams to determine priority and level of effort.
• Lead and manage small and medium projects with little to no supervision
• Manage release/upgrade schedules and ensure release notes are received, impacts are well understood, and pre/post deployment testing is completed.
• Create and/or oversee the creation of Business requirements documentation, including the visual representations of business processes and systems, either current state or desired end state and performance of any gap analysis.
• Create and/or oversee the translation of requirements into Use Cases and Test Cases.
• Create and/or oversee source to target mappings for data migration projects.
• Lead and/or perform application and system testing as needed.
• Utilize a variety of analytics, critical thinking, and problem-solving methods to find solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization, including team members, groups of managers, project steering committees and customers.
• Perform any other assigned tasks deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 5 years of experience working on software sourcing and implementation projects, including some experience in all areas of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience with Agile/Scum methodology.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years combined experience from above in a retail setting, preferably with in-store related systems and processes
• Preference given to candidates with experience in any of the following areas:
  • In-Store Systems/Operations – To include but not limited to Perpetual Inventory/Computer Assisted Ordering (PI/CAO), Backdoor Receiving, Shelf Price Aduit, Scale Management, Markdown Optimization, Task Management, Time & Attendance, Labor Scheduling, Point of Sale (POS)
  • Innovative Mindset – Proactive and creative in terms of introducting new technologies that remove friction from the Customer’s and Store Team Member’s experience
