Starting rate: $17.00/hr with growth potential as skills/abilities develop
Spruce is growing and looking to expand our product manufacturing team!
Key Responsibilities:
• Depending on assigned work station, responsibilities may require employee to screw, bolt, glue or crimp individual parts onto a manufactured item on the assembly line.
• Some positions require ensuring all parts are fitted and screwed in properly, others are part of a subassembly and have the responsibility of mounting assembled components onto a larger product using a variety of tools.
• The assembler might complete the wiring for a manufactured item or they might add hardware to the finished product.
• Each Assembler is responsible for moving products from/to next step in process.
• Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per Spruce Environmental Technologies.
• Complete all administrative functions relating to business or regulatory requirements.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Management.
• Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Specific Skills Preferred:
- Ability to work with small hand tools
- Ability to maintain focus for quality while performing repetitive actions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Attention to quality of work produced while meeting efficiency standards is critical
- Reliability is a critical standard for performance evaluation
Requirements
Education/Experience Required:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and understand procedures written in English
- Exposure/Basic understanding of mechanical components preferred
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Assemblers often perform their jobs while standing during 8 hours shifts
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within arms’ length, reach overhead, stoop and bend, push and pull required
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15-20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds required.
- Manufacturing environment with controlled temperatures.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Fine motor dexterity necessary
- Specific vision requirements include close vision.
To complete the temporary work period and be considered for full-time employment, successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug-screen, background check and pre-employment physical.
