Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Progressive Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients who require close monitoring and specialized treatment. This role is critical in ensuring patient safety and comfort while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic hospital environment. The Progressive Care Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and providing education to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to monitor vital signs and overall health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medical protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Provide care for pediatric patients, including toddlers, as necessary.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in nursing practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospital or teaching hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation processes and electronic health records.
- Experience working with children is a plus, particularly in providing toddler care.
- Strong understanding of patient assessment techniques and medical terminology is essential.
- Ability to work effectively within a team while demonstrating strong communication skills.
