Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with catheter care and other specialized medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies.
- Participate in the assessment of patients' needs and contribute to the development of nursing interventions.
- Provide support during procedures such as spinal taps or mammography when required.
- Stay current with best practices in nursing, including advancements in neonatal ventilator care.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in travel nursing or working in nursing home settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of acute care practices and patient care protocols.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Certification or training related to specialized areas such as catheter care or neonatal ventilator management is a plus.
