Senior Business Analyst (6-Month Contract Oak Brook, IL)
Seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 6-month contract with our client in Oak Brook, IL. This role will be responsible for conducting a Discovery effort to assess the scope, cost, and timeline required to migrate off the client's PAS platform. The Senior Business Analyst will work across various functional areas to capture processes, document system functionality, and define the requirements for transitioning to new solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Discovery efforts to analyze the migration scope, assess business and system requirements, and develop a comprehensive transition plan for potential sunsetting/migration off the system.
- Develop current-to-future state documentation, including 'as is'/ 'to be' and functional requirements for the target system(s).
- Identify and document requirements for historical data conversions, financial reporting, and other business needs.
- Collaborate with IT teams to obtain technical estimates and assess feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Engage with business stakeholders across different functional areas to understand products currently on the client's PAS platform and determine appropriate migration pathways.
- Facilitate process flow mapping sessions and identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic insights as part of the Business Transformation Office, leveraging experience to enhance planning and execution methodologies.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership and business stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7 years of Business Analysis experience, with a strong background in system migration and process improvement.
- Proven experience conducting Discovery efforts for large-scale system transitions.
- Strong ability to document functional requirements and create current vs. future state system crosswalks.
- Experience gathering requirements for data conversions, reporting needs, and financial integrations.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment with limited dedicated resources.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage with leadership, business SMEs, and IT teams.
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to balance multiple initiatives while driving the Discovery effort as the primary focus.
