What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Guest Group Coordinator position at Spruce Lake?
Spruce Lake Ministries encourages persons from a variety of traditions to a deeper faith in God through Jesus Christ. In this peaceful setting in the heart of the Pocono Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania, Spruce Lake and Pinebrook provide Christian church, family and corporate groups with lodging, meeting spaces and meals for their next event or retreat. Spruce Lake also hosts summer camps, programmatic retreats, and outdoor education programs throughout the year.
Our Guest Group Coordinator is responsible for communicating with guest group leaders, securing, documenting, and disseminating required information to directors and/or their designees. The Guest Group Coordinator is a member of the guest service team and is responsible for guest group reservation details from pre-retreat planning to guest group check-in and post event follow-up, showing Christian hospitality and focusing on the guest experience while actively promoting the value of a retreat experience.

- Possess spiritual maturity, taking initiative to personally grow, and encourage others to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must fully embrace and align with SLM's vision, core purpose, statement of faith and core values.
- Conduct him/herself behaviorally in a manner that is above reproach, realizing that the greatest potential for ministry is achieved through the witness of Christ-like individuals.
Accountability: Accountable to Guest Service Manager
Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience with hospitality group reservation and event planning.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, databases, telephone, and email protocols.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing documents and reports.
- Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
- A bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combined experience.
Physical Requirements: General office.
