We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This key role will support our finance team by managing billing, payments, and overdue accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes. As an AR Specialist, you'll play an essential role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting internal teams, and contributing to the smooth operation of the department, all while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts monthly credit meetings to ensure adherence to credit policies and billing standards, issuing minutes to staff.
- Prepares accurate bills with supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with contracts, function sheets, and rooming lists.
- Reviews charges for accuracy, consulting with conference planners before issuing bills to clients.
- Manages overdue accounts, posting finance charges, issuing statements, and following up with clients for timely remittance.
- Posts and verifies incoming payments, resolving payment discrepancies, and maintaining the daily cash receipts journal.
- Assists with month-end processes, including journal entries and other necessary accounting tasks.
- Maintains organized files of accounts receivable and supports the Finance team as needed.
- Collaborates with other departments, ensuring smooth communication and providing necessary financial information.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree in a relevant field preferred.
- 2-3 years of prior accounting or hospitality experience.
- Understanding of hospitality operating systems.
- Solid judgment and ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Experience in high-volume establishments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Technical proficiency (computer applications).
