Spruce Street Compliance is a political and nonprofit compliance consulting firm based out of Philadelphia, PA and Washington, DC. Our firm is committed to supporting progressive causes and candidates nation-wide.The Compliance Associate will work with our current Managers to complete the daily tasks associated with oversight and compliance for our clients. This position will report to the firm’s Managers and Principal.Salary range : $50,000-60,000 / annuallyResponsibilities Deposit and record contributions into compliance database and accounting fileProcess disbursements and track outstanding invoicesTrack and process 1099sMaintain compliance with GAAPPerform bank and compliance software reconciliationsCorrespond with donors regarding compliance regulations and documentationCreate, implement, and administer efficient workflowsDevelop relationships with vendors and assist with client procurementAssist updating client budgetsAssist providing financial reports to clientsPrepare and file federal and non-federal campaign finance reportsExperience and Skills 1-3 years experience working with political or non-profit organizationsAt least one year of experience with non-profit and / or campaign finance complianceStrong attention to detail and organizedExperience with Excel, Google Business Suite, and DropboxAbility to manage multiple projects at once and meet strict deadlinesAbility to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlinesWillingness to take initiativeBookkeeping experience (preferred)Previous experience with Quickbooks Online (preferred)Bachelor’s degree (preferred)Commitment to supporting progressive causesCommitment to working within a diverse and inclusive workspaceA background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment has been made to a candidate.Spruce Street Compliance offers a generous benefits package and exciting and collaborative work environment.Spruce Street Compliance is an equal opportunity employer and committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion among its staff.
