Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs is seeking a Database Architect Senior to provide technical support developing and managing the data pipeline needed to support the primary objectives of the NYS JC Data Strategy Initiative.

Day to Day task include:
- Database Administration
- Configure database, including schema creation, schema management, table creation, user management, and security.
- Develop and maintain documentation surrounding the governance standards of the database.
- Data Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using ETL tools and best practices.
- Configure and maintain ETL tools to automate data flows.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and solution any technical issues related to the data pipeline.
- Build and maintain data warehouses and data marts specific to analytics needs.
- Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the data pipeline.
- Data Mapping and Documentation
- Create detailed data maps and lineage diagrams.
- Support the creation and maintenance of a data catalogue.
- Maintain up-to-date data documentation.
Requested Qualifications:
- 60 months experience in database administration, including schema creation, schema management, table creation, user management, and security.
- 60 months experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipeline using ETL/ELT tools.
- 60 months experience related to the creation and maintenance of data warehouses and/or datamarts specific to supporting data analytics.
- 36 months of experience creating and maintaining data mapping and documentation. Specifically creating detailed data maps and/or data lineage diagrams.
- 36 months experience creating and maintaining technical data dictionary or data catalogue.
- 36 months of experience in ensuring data quality and consistency throughout the data pipeline.
- 24 months experience with data integration and API development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 24 months of experience working with Tableau Prep.
- 24 months of experience working with Oracle SQL Developer.
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
- Daily work hours: Between 7:30AM to 9:00am and 4:00PM and 5:30PM, with 1/2 hour lunch
- Physical office location: 161 Delaware Aveneue, Delmar, NY, 12054
- Telecommuting options: 50% every pay period remote/in office
