Job Details
- Manage the implementation and execution of therequirements management process, including elicitation,analysis, and verification of requirements.
- Validate test cases properly map to requirements inthe Requirements Verification and Traceability Matrix; ensuretestable verifiable requirements are accounted forthroughout all test phases of the NG9-1-1 program.
- Validate test procedures are comprehensive andaccurately execute their associated test cases; provide real-time feedback on test procedures during vendor dry-runs andexecution of the various test phases of the NG9-1-1 program.
- Effectively and accurately communicate relevantproject information to the client, project team, and executivelevel.
- Partner with Agencies to develop effective UserAcceptance Test scripts
Mandatory Skills/Experience: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
- At least 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst;
- Requirements Elicitation:
- Conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather business requirements.
- Using various techniques (brainstorming, use cases, etc.) to elicit comprehensive requirements.
- Testing and Validation:
- Participating in the validation and testing of developed solutions against requirements.
- Ensuring that deliverables meet the specified criteria.
- Documentation:
- Writing clear and detailed requirement documents.
- Creating use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams to articulate requirements.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyzing data to support requirements and decision-making.
- Proficiency in tools like Excel or specialized data analysis tools.
- Tools and Techniques:
- Proficiency in using requirement management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Knowledge of modeling tools for creating diagrams (e.g., Visio).
- Proven experience in defining requirements for solutions with multiple stakeholders.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of public safety environments and/or experience working with NYC government;
- Knowledge of the workings of police, fire, EMS and health and human services organizations.
Work hours and location:
- Normal Business Hours, Monday through Friday (not including a mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work), 35 work hours per week. If the consultant works more than 35 hours per week, the consultant must request overtime in the Agency's timekeeping system and the project manager must approve those hours worked above the weekly maximum.
