We're looking for a talented Growth Marketing Manager to level up our customer messaging strategy, scale our user base, and own hands-on execution of marketing automation through Braze. If you thrive on turning customer insights into impactful strategies and love working in fast-moving startups, this role is tailor-made for you.
- Own and optimize Spruce's email and messaging strategy using Braze, helping us connect meaningfully with thousands of residents nationwide.
- Build and optimize powerful automated workflows, customer segments, personalized messaging, and campaign triggers.
- Dive into data to identify opportunities, test ideas, and accelerate growth.
- Coordinate with skilled freelancers and external agencies to amplify your impact.
- How effectively you attract, engage, and retain customers.
- Continuous improvement in campaign performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion rate, deliverability)
- Impactful growth in Spruce's customer base.
- Quality and accuracy of automation workflows and customer segmentation.
- 4–7 years of experience, especially in marketing automation (Braze highly preferred!).
- A track record of managing data-driven marketing campaigns that deliver clear results.
- Comfort with data analytics and data visualization tools.
- Comfort collaborating externally with freelancers/agencies and internally with cross-functional teams.
- Startup experience or enthusiasm for an entrepreneurial environment.
- Skills with analytics tools such as Looker (preferred) and mixpanel
- Direct Braze certification or extensive hands-on experience.

We are a remote-first company with a small team, located in Austin, TX. This role will be expected to work in-person with Austin team members 2-3x/week.
