Job Title: Lifeguard
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Athletic Facilities Coordinator
St. Paul's School seeks a part-time Lifeguard in a large-scale facility with a competitive interscholastic swim team. Will work with Co-Lifeguard covering shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide Lifeguard coverage for community and perform essential duties as a certified Red Cross Lifeguard. Must be able to attend in-service training as scheduled throughout the school year. Supervise and ensure safety around the pool. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures and rescue skills. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential physical and academic duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Language Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current Red Cross lifeguard certification and CPR for Professional Rescuer/First Aid certification required.
Physical Demands: Able to pass the Red Cross Pretest for Lifeguard Certification. Must be a strong swimmer.

The following shifts are available:
Wednesday and Friday 6:00am - 7:30am
Sundays 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Shifts may be available Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 5:30pm
All shifts are for the school year, ending in June of 2025 and resuming at the end of August 2025.
