Position Summary:     

You will work in a truly collaborative setting with product managers, engineers, customers, management, and other designers to transcend complex end-to-end product experiences.

You have a strong product and aesthetic sensibility, but are always validating design decisions through customer and quantitative feedback. You strike the balance between solving for user needs, technical feasibility, and UI elegance, while driving high impact for the business.

Key Responsibilities: 

You will participate in all stages of the product development process from conception through release, including:

Technical and Systems Craft:

• You can identify the best solution. Designs balance product requirements, customer wants, and technical feasibility.
• Fluent in prototyping and thorough with interactive UX details.
• Deep understanding and usage of design system parameters, components, and expectations. Build local components and influence system components.

Product Scope and Process:

• Wireframe, design, and prototype end-to-end product experiences. Build and drive design clarity with product stakeholders.
• Adaptable and manages work bandwidth, performs peer design reviews and design QA in staging/production environments.
• Participate in and plan research initiatives, validate designs with data and industry/UX knowledge.

UX Leadership and Mindset:

• Participate in problem priority planning and suggest product improvements to drive impact. Help other designers grow through feedback and skill sharing, help implement team improvements.
• Trusted to work independently and in partnership with peers. Implement processes for research to gathering requirements to shipping designs. Open to changes and challenges, takes action to raise the bar for UX design. 

Location:    

This is a hybrid role based in our office in Rogers, Arkansas.  

Required Qualifications: 

• B.S, B.A, M.A, or M.S degree in Graphics Design, Human-Computer Interaction or equivalent professional work experience along with 2   years of UX Design experience. 
• Strong familiar with prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, or similar
• Strong understanding of typography, iconography, information architecture and product flows.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• Can work independently and as a member of multidisciplinary agile teams.
• Can context switch often to guide UX as a whole between various teams and products.
• Bonus if you have knowledge in modern HTML, CSS, UI components (Material, Shadcn, Storybook), and Javascript frameworks (React, Angular)

What We Offer:    

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.

The annual salary range for this role is: $74,900 to $90,000.  The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
