Harness Designer

Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team where precision and consistency are key!  As one of our harness designers, you'll be responsible for translating technical requirements into reliable, standard-compliant harness designs and comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate Harness Design:
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop detailed harness designs that align with project specifications and internal standards.
  • Create clear wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout designs using CAD software, ensuring all designs meet consistency and quality benchmarks.
• Comprehensive Documentation:
  • Produce, update, and maintain thorough documentation including design specifications, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and revision histories.
  • Ensure that all documentation is precise, standardized, and easily accessible to support manufacturing and quality control.
• Collaboration & Standardization:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, and quality) to ensure that harness designs integrate seamlessly into overall product development.
  • Participate in design reviews, offering insights that reinforce adherence to established standards and promote harmonized product development.
• Quality Assurance and Support:
  • Identify design challenges and document solutions, contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the team.
  • Support prototype testing and troubleshooting, ensuring that all designs meet the required quality and reliability standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant technical training, diploma, or equivalent experience in electronics, technical drafting, or a related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for creating detailed technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with a systematic approach to design and documentation.
• Excellent written communication skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in harness design, technical drafting, or a similar role.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring principles.
• Familiarity with industry standards and a commitment to maintaining high levels of quality and compliance.

Working Conditions:

• Enjoy a professional office environment with occasional visits to the production floor for design reviews and hands-on testing.
• Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or site visits.
