Job Summary
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of a Human Resource (HR) functional area including proactively sourcing and training talent and ensuring a best-in-class employee experience. The HR Generalist will embody a positive attitude, results oriented ownership, quick thinking, and concise communication of a thoroughly researched and detailed talent management.
Essential Duties
Proactively builds and manages an employer brand both internally and externally that ensures adequate staffing levels to meet or exceed company production goals.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required to meet company goals.
Performs routine tasks required to build, administer, and execute human resource programs mainly around performance and talent management, but also understands compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Manages the employee lifecycle from start to finish with aggressive goals and results around employee retention and satisfaction.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include leadership training, anti-harassment and other HR training, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; drafts and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- At least three years of HR experience required, bachelors degree in human resources, or related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR required within 18 months of hire.
- Internal and external employer brand building experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases; implementation of HR software a plus (Paycom experience preferred).
- Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and thus be able to communicate effectively with leadership, employees, vendors, and customers.
