Now, picture the operator who’s got a job to do—harvesting crops, managing machinery, and making the most of every inch of field. At that moment, they need a guide, a voice of clarity, and a helping hand to cut through the complexity.
That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for someone who loves to take complex machine operation and functionality and can make it digestible and achievable. You’ll create Quick Start guides that give operators the confidence to tackle any task, all while ensuring our equipment is performing at its peak. Help us turn complexity into simplicity—and make a real impact on the people using our technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write clear, concise, and user-friendly Quick Start guides for agricultural equipment, helping operators efficiently and safely use the machinery.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather technical details and translate complex information into understandable documentation.
- Create and standardize quality control documentation, including PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) checklists and processes, to ensure all equipment is thoroughly inspected before shipment.
- Maintain consistency in voice, tone, and style across all technical documentation while adhering to branding and safety standards.
- Update existing documentation as equipment designs change or new information becomes available.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand equipment operation and gather insights for creating accurate and effective guides and QC documentation.
- Develop visual aids, diagrams, and infographics to improve comprehension of technical materials.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., MSHA, OSHA), and internal quality protocols.
- Support the editing and review of technical documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in technical writing, ideally with exposure to mechanical, agricultural, or industrial equipment.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; experience with content management systems or graphic design tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with agricultural or industrial equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with developing PDI checklists or quality control documents.
