The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the procedures and guidelines set by the school. They will have prior related experience working in a kitchen. The primary responsibilities of this position are to prepare, cook, and serve food as well as maintain a clean environment. Candidates must wear slip resistant shoes and adhere to kitchen safety guidelines by wearing protective gear such as gloves, hair net, and apron. Candidates must be able to work on an on-call basis or if assigned a specific location.
Duties :
- Follow written and verbal instructions related to daily production schedule / basic math skills (add, subtract, multiple & divide)
- Prepare, cook, serve, store, and label food according to planned menus by standardized recipes
- Properly taste test foods for quality
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Stand on concrete flooring for long periods / stooping or squatting for long periods
- Maintain highest standards of safety and sanitation
- Perform clearing duties (refrigerators, freezers, storerooms, vent hoods, and any other equipment)
- Work as a TEAM
- Prompt with attendance / available on an on-call basis (On Demand position).
