Spur, a digital staffing agency, is seeking a dedicated and punctual Long-Term Certified Autistic Support Teacher to join Alliance for Progress Charter School.
Position Overview
The Substitute Certified Autistic Support Teacher will play a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for students with autism. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting, following all school policies and Spur guidelines while ensuring student safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students consistently during assigned hours.
- Develop and implement engaging enrichment lessons tailored to students’ needs.
- Lead students in structured and unstructured activities that promote learning and social development.
- Implement behavior management strategies in accordance with school policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with staff to support student progress and ensure individualized learning goals are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- Certified Autism Specialist Certification (or related certificate)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- Pennsylvania Criminal History Background Check ($25.00)
- Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprinting
- Friendly, professional, and punctual demeanor.
- Prior experience working with children preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $40.00/hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (when school is in session; hours may vary by location)
