Substitute Special Education Aide – Albertville City Schools (Alabama)

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include assisting teachers and staff with daily activities for special needs students while maintaining a professional demeanor. Candidates must follow school guidelines and wear business casual attire. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist children individually or in group settings.
- Support students with basic grade-level classwork.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) is a plus.
- Escort students to activities within the school as needed.
- Adapt to various student needs and behavioral changes.
- Provide assistance to new students as required.
Requirements
- Must obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00).
- Complete required online training.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
Compensation & Schedule
- $15.00 per hour.
- Must be available Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (varies by location).
