Spur, a digital staffing agency, seeks a hard-working and punctual Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher for Alliance for Progress Charter School.
The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the rules and guidelines set by the school and Spur. This position's primary responsibilities are to ensure optimal student safety and well-being and to create a safe, stimulating learning environment for all students.
Duties expected of this position are :
Supervising students consistently during designated hours.
Teaching enrichment lessons.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs in collaboration with parents, administrators, and other staff.
Leading students in a variety of structured and unstructured activities.
Ensure proper student behavior and follow the designated behavior management system.
Ensuring that school spaces are kept clean and organized.
Performing other duties as assigned Requirements.
Friendly and approachable attitude.
Prior related experience working with children.
Punctual and professional.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Able to lift heavy objects to 40 lbs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
Pennsylvania Criminal History Background Check ($25.00)
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprinting
Compensation
This position pays $40.00 / hour
Job Hours : 7 : 30 - 4 : 30 Monday - Friday when school is in session. (Hours vary per location)
