What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Patient Accounts position at Spurwink Services?
Spurwink Services is looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to be our Director of Patient Accounts. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will contribute to the mission of Spurwink by designing, optimizing, and maintaining the system of converting services into cash.
DUTIES:
- Responsible for the overall function of the patient accounts revenue cycle.
- Ensure that all aspects of the current billing software are functioning properly.
- Oversee the month end close process.
- Oversee department participation in year-end, internal, and third-party audits.
- Supervise, train, and develop patient account managers.
- Engage in training necessary to ensure compliance and regulations are understood, that procedures and policy reflect any changes, and that the patient accounts team and other key staff are updated.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or relevant related experience required. A minimum of five years managing the patient accounts of a healthcare organization of similar size.
