Responsibilities Of The Continuous Quality Improvement Department
The Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) department oversees quality review and data production at Spurwink. CQI performs quality reviews of client records, produces compliance data, and mines data for patterns that might inform clinical and business practices. In addition, the department is responsible for policy development and contract work and manages Spurwink's new contract management system.
Intern Responsibilities
As an intern you will be able to assist the CQI team with the diverse work of their department. You will meet weekly as a cohort to help form camaraderie, share experiences, and learn from knowledgeable Spurwink employees.

Requirements
- Hybrid Position (2 days in office/ 2 days working from home)
- Program Duration: 10 weeks (June 2nd - August 8th)
- 4 days a week (8 hours per day)
- Ability to commute to the Greater Portland area two days a week.
- Have an interest in compliance/ business ethics and data analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft 365.
- Create a capstone project sharing educational goals, skills learned, and your experiences.
- Attend a weekly reflection session with a cohort of interns.
- Attend a weekly meeting with a supervisor.
- Candidates must exhibit enthusiasm for the work in the department and the mission of Spurwink Services.
- Must have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and critical thinking skills.
