The Nurse Coordinator will provide nursing care and medication oversight to the residents of the ICF group home and to provide related in-service training to the staff of the program. In addition to RN duties and responsibilities below, the Nursing Coordinator would have additional tasks and responsibilities. These would include but not be limited to assisting with nursing and on-call schedules, preparing for, and attending appointments, completing medication reviews, assisting with required trainings at community programs and new staff, collection of data, monitoring documentation, and other projects as assigned. This role would also assist with coverage for Director of Nursing when they are on vacation and be a second Infection Preventionist in the facility.
DUTIES :
Provides appropriate role modeling for people living and working at the program.
Participate in the evaluation of other staff according to Spurwink procedure.
Reports safety concerns to the Administrator.
Meets the nursing care needs of each individual as outlined in the nursing care plan.
Serves as a resource for other direct service, dietary, and housekeeping staff.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduate of an RN program approved and accredited by the Maine State Board of Nursing. Possess a current valid RN license in the State of Maine. Aware of the needs of persons with developmental disabilities.
