What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at Spyderco?

The Assembler position is responsible for building and assembling Spyderco products that meet specifications in functionality, safety, and quality
Monday - Friday 7Am – 4 PM
Compensation: $20/hr.
Essential Functions
Efficiently assemble products according to work order and procedure guide
Conducts functional, safety and quality checks using appropriate procedures, tools, and/or control pieces
Package and label completed projects
Use required tools and fixtures to assemble product (Example: electric drivers, hand drivers, and tapping tools)
Required to troubleshoot and report any on-going product difficulties
Understands and builds knowledge based on product components and terminology
Takes initiative on written and verbal communications
Adapts to process changes and improvements
Receives and applies constructive quality and process feedback
Maintains a clean environment and 5S Standards
Effectively communicates with Assembly Lead
Must be able to grasp, pinch, complete repetitive motions frequently
Must be able to carry items, climb stairs, lift objects as necessary
Comfortable working in a noisy environment.
Additional Responsibilities
Report to Lead and machine or equipment issues
Inform Lead on which supplies are needed to complete the project
Assist with process improvements and problem solving
Effectively communicate with Quality Assurance as directed for first articles
Assist other departments as assigned (Example; tapping and finishing)
Work Experience
3 years or more Assembly Experience
3 years or more Hand Tools/Torque Drivers
3 years or more Working In Production/Manufacturing Environment
Requirements
Must be quality oriented
Excellent dexterity
Mechanically inclined
Ability to receive constant feedback
Ability to understand how to apply techniques and processes (spine whack, side to side and vertical play, etc)
Ability to read and understand written instructions
Basic computer skills
