Reporting to the Controller, the Payroll & Compliance Specialist will manage payroll processing, benefits reconciliation, and employee onboarding, while also supporting general operations. This role will be instrumental in ensuring smooth HR operations, accurate financial processes, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities :
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Administer weekly payroll using Paylocity, including data entry, verification, and resolving discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Process employee payroll changes, including deductions, garnishments, and tax withholding adjustments.
- Manage benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Conduct benefits reconciliation, ensuring that deductions match invoice charges and resolving discrepancies with vendors.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and tax matters, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Prepare payroll-related reports, including certified payroll reports, ACA compliance filings, and year-end tax documentation (W-2s, 1095-Cs, etc.).
