Job Description:
We are seeking a tenacious performer and detail-oriented individual to join the SPYLT team in the role of a Area Sales Manager (ASM). He/She must be extremely driven have amazing communication and relationships skills, be approachable, and bring a deep understanding of their relative market. Foster and build on current and future retail clients, bridge the relationships between DSD & retailers, analyze market trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales strategies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, understands route planning, team player, intentional, and collaborates well with cross-functional teams. These competencies collectively drive sales growth, efficient distribution, and overall brand success.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Garner and maintain positive relationships with distributors, targeted retail accounts, and retail chain customers.
- Drive distribution, display execution, and merchandising standards
- Ensure distributors have all necessary tools (POCM, Sales sheets, programming info, etc.) to execute in the marketplace.
- Provide consistent brand communication via in-person visits, calls, and emails.
- Effectively manage resources and budgets and keep territory sales growth in line with company revenue goals.
- Identify Pricing and programming opportunities, providing feedback to the Regional Sales Director/ Manager or Commercial Sales Manager, to build a strategy around them and work with the distributor to execute.
- Identify high event opportunities in your area that will translate national programs into successful local activation through product sampling, event partnerships, and on-premise & off-premise activations.
- Align with the Regional Sales Director/Manager, Commercial Sales Managers, and Field Marketing Specialists to support activations, merchandising, and sales blitzes in your area.
- Develop relationships with on-premise managers, off-premise managers, operations managers, and distributor sales and marketing departments.
- Ride-alongs' s with distributors to help with sales support and ensure the proper SPYLT brand selling story.
- Adherence to CRM Platform for ALL in-market store visits achieving monthly (200), quarterly (600), and annual goals (2,600), set for, but not limited to sales, distribution, displays, and shelf space.
- Visit an average of 50 accounts per week or a specialist to support activations, merchandising, and sales blitzes in your area.
- Adherence to CRM Platform for ALL in-market store visits achieving monthly (200), quarterly (600), and annual goals (2,600), set for, but not limited to minimum monthly total of 160 accounts monthly
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Sales Strategy: executing and implementing effective sales strategies based on market trends and consumer behavior.
- Relationship Building: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and partners, collaborating across departments.
- Product Knowledge: Possessing a deep understanding of the beverage industry, including market trends and competitor products.
- EQ handling rejection and turning it into a positive all while staying motivated to succeeded
- Data Analysis: Using data and analytics to evaluate sales performance, identify improvement areas, and make informed decisions.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders, presenting sales reports to senior management.
- Adaptability: Being flexible to changes in market conditions, and company priorities, and adjusting sales strategies based on feedback and metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in N/A RTD brands
- 5 years of experience in CPG
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (docs, sheets, slides) is preferred
- Karma/VIP
