Quality Inspector - Electromechanical - Level 2

Responsibilities

• Inspection services include visual, physical, and dimensional (both in-process and final) of machined, electro-mechanical, and other parts, according to client's requirements and specifications. Inspection may consist of, but not be limited to, the following activities:
• Incoming inspection from external providers of products or services/processing (e.g., nickel plating)
• In-process and final inspection of critical features such as witness inspection
• Compilation of final inspection sign-off sheet and report packages
• Verification that inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects
• Verification that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent
• Audit and validate the execution to the inspection plan
• Provide weekly reports of manufacturing sites ramp progress, equipment quality performance of the facility, delivery details by Data Center site
• Conduct periodic quality audits of the supplier’s factory, provide reports of results
• Drive closure of findings identified as non-conformance
• Ensuring supplier’s quality control system document the findings
• Provide customer witness for test scripts, including but not limited to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment. Validate equipment is acceptable with no issues and compliance to the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment to the Data Center
• Be the on-site support representing the client
  
  
  
  

Basic Requirements

• (*) Must be a US Citizen with multiple valid forms of identification (Driver License, Passport, Birth Certificate)
• Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 4 years' experience with inspection of electromechanical parts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
  
  
  

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience using calibrated inspection tools.
• Experience with quality assurance principles, methods, and processes.
• Intermediate level skill with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Intermediate level skill with Windows operating systems.
  
  
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to climb ladders, stoop, bend, crawl, and work in tight spaces.
