Location: Brownsville, TX| Compensation: $29-$32| Full-Time
Position Overview: This role will primarily involve precision inspection activities at our client’s Starbase facility in Brownsville, TX. However, 20-30% of the role will involve source inspection work at supplier sites, particularly in the Austin area. The ideal candidate must be flexible, willing to travel, and excited to work on projects involving mechanical parts and composites for a renowned aerospace company.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process and final mechanical inspections of composite and mechanical parts.
Perform precise mechanical inspections at various client-supplier sites in Brownsville and Austin, TX.
Interpret standard manufacturing drawings according to industry standards.
Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges.
Engage in ongoing training and collaboration with industry experts.
Maintain accurate and thorough inspection records to ensure product quality.
Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Experience Required.
Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), though CMM programming is not required. CMM programming experience is a plus.
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check.
Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time
Flexibility to work part-time with potential for full-time, depending on travel willingness and project demands.
