SQA Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform source inspections. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards for critical aircraft components, verifying the integrity of parts and assemblies at various stages of production, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
\n- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of critical features and components.
- Compile inspection sign-off sheets and ensure measurement equipment detects defects.
- Verify inspection methodology aligns with engineering drawings and standards.
- Review and validate parts not inspected during final inspection.
- Ensure products meet quality standards for workmanship, finishes, and paint.
- Inspect for cleanliness and ensure no foreign object debris (FOD).
- Confirm proper fastener installation and safety wire application.
- Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) compliance and review FAI reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for shipping, including part numbers and quantities.
- Proven experience in source inspections for critical aircraft components.
- Strong understanding of inspection methodologies and engineering specifications.
- Ability to review First Article Inspections (FAI) and related documentation.
- Knowledge of foreign object debris (FOD) prevention and hardware cleanliness standards.
- Experience with witness inspections (e.g., CMM program runs) and inspection sign-off packages.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check.
- Must have a personal vehicle.
- Experience in aerospace or manufacturing quality assurance inspections.
- Familiarity with nickel plating or other external provider processes.
- Ability to perform in-process and final inspections with precision.
- Experience in auditing and validating execution to inspection plans.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on workmanship standards, part finishes, and paint quality.
