SUMMARY : The Early Learning Center Support is a dynamic role responsible for providing support across various functions within the center. This includes stepping in for Teachers, assisting with kitchen duties, and maintaining janitorial tasks as needed. The Support will also be relied upon to cover staff absences, breaks, and other scheduling needs, contributing to the smooth operation of the center. Flexibility and adaptability are key as the Center Support’s schedule will vary to meet the center's requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist with Meal Preparation and Clean Up :
- Support kitchen staff in meal preparation, including cooking and serving.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained during food handling and clean-up processes .
Collaborate with Coach / Mentor for Curriculum Time :
Adherence to OSPI Guidelines in the Kitchen :

QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REASONING ABILITY : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

With direction from Director and Office Manager adhere to all State of Washington licensing standards and requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands of a Classroom Assistant are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. At any given moment during the employees shift the position may require frequent lifting, carrying, holding, bending, stooping, stretching, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, reaching or moving children with a weight range of 10-50 pounds, or responding immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies. Requirements :
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : Must be 18 years of age. AND / OR Completion of High School or G.E.D and two years relevant experience; Meet department of Children, Family and Youth (DCYF) minimum requirements.
