Job Summary: As a High Rise Window Cleaner, you will embark on a comprehensive training program to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to become a competent and certified Rope Access Technician. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will learn the techniques and safety protocols required to perform rope access work at various heights and challenging environments. This apprenticeship will provide you with a solid foundation for a career in the rope access industry. This can include work in sectors such as construction, maintenance, inspection, oil and gas, wind energy, telecommunications, and more.

At Squeegee Squad, we use our rope access technicians to do high rise building maintenance, in particular, high rise window cleaning all throughout the Tulsa Metro Area.

Responsibilities:

Training and Skill Development:

Participate actively in a structured training program to learn rope access techniques, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
Learn and apply relevant industry standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Develop proficiency in rope work, rigging, knot tying, and harness use.
Practice safe working practices and adhere to established safety protocols.

Equipment Handling and Maintenance:

Gain familiarity with various rope access equipment, including harnesses, ropes, ascenders, descenders, and anchor systems.
Learn proper care, inspection, and maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Assist in equipment inventory management and tracking.

Support Rope Access Operations:

Assist experienced technicians in setting up rope access systems, including anchors, rigging, and safety lines.
Learn to perform inspections and assessments of worksites for suitability and safety.
Support rope access teams in executing assigned tasks, such as maintenance, repairs, installations, or inspections at height.
Follow instructions from supervisors and more experienced technicians to ensure smooth workflow.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure personal and team safety.
Maintain awareness of potential hazards and identify risks during rope access operations.
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of training activities, including progress, certifications, and competencies acquired.
Complete reports and logbooks as required, documenting work completed, observations, and any safety incidents.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No previous experience in rope access required; this is an entry-level job.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic understanding of occupational health and safety principles.
• Willingness to undergo rigorous training and certification process.

Note: The Rope Access Apprentice position involves working at heights and in physically demanding conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working in such environments and have no medical conditions that may prevent them from safely performing rope access tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $35.00 per hour
