Squirrel Hill Health Center (SHHC), a dynamic and growing Federally Qualified Health Center, is hiring a full time Front Office Coordinator in our new Bellevue location.
The Front Office Coordinator is an integral part of the team that provides outstanding patient support services, including greeting patients, answering the telephone, scheduling appointments with providers, documenting information in the electronic health record system, and performing related general office duties.
The Front Office Coordinator plays a critical role in verifying and updating accounts with new insurance information and ensuring all claims have the appropriate documentation before being coded and submitted. The Front Office Coordinator exhibits accuracy and attention to detail in processing insurance information. The Front Office Coordinator also channels communications among patients, nurses, clinicians, and other staff members.
While the Front Office Coordinator will be primarily based in Bellevue, they must be able to work in all SHHC locations as needed to accommodate occasional schedule changes.

Qualifications:
- The latest COVID and Flu vaccines are required.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years in an outpatient medical setting preferred
- Knowledge of and experience in medical insurance
- Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills
- A strong mission orientation and desire to help the underserved population
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Collaborative team player
- Ability to speak Spanish or Nepali strongly preferred
- Available to work in other office locations as needed (Squirrel Hill, Brentwood, &/or Turtle Creek)
- Available to work a rotating shift including evenings (Tuesday and Thursday) and weekends (either Saturday or Sunday) as needed
