Job Overview
As a Concierge, you will play a key role in enhancing the SR COMPANIES LLC experience for our residents, families, and visitors. This is a part-time position working on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Your primary responsibilities include interacting with residents, answering phone calls, and performing routine clerical work.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for speaking to and interacting with residents, families, and visitors while showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect. You will also answer phone calls with a welcoming and inviting attitude, responding courteously to inquiries. Additionally, you will assist in scheduling new hires, assist the Business Office Manager when needed, receive and route incoming and outgoing mail, type all correspondence as requested, respond promptly and courteously to resident requests, greet families and visitors, introduce them to the appropriate department head, answer questions to prospects regarding the community, communicate effectively in a language that each resident can understand, ensure residents sign out when they leave the community, follow written and verbal instructions, practice good body mechanics and safe working habits, observe and report safety hazards immediately, demonstrate an ability to know each resident and family member by addressing them by name, and work as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, you must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or less than one year related experience or training. You should also have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. You will be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, write simple correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. You must also be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions, deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations, and take initiative in work, seek out additional information, and offer solutions/suggestions.
