Position Overview:
The Office of Children, Youth, and Families (OCYF) seeks an experienced Business Analyst to support IT system development and maintenance, including the transition to a new statewide Child Welfare Case Management System (CWCM). This hybrid position involves both on-site and remote work, focusing on critical data processing, reporting projects, and system quality assurance for OCYF systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage data-related projects and ensure compliance with federal and state reporting requirements.
- Support data clean-up, conversion activities, and system configurations for the new CWCM.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure business and data quality needs are met.
- Review and analyze user requirements, manage defects, and oversee testing and deployment.
- Support the IT Grants review and budget process for county submissions.
- Identify, track, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring smooth operations across various systems.
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and provide training to stakeholders.
- Travel occasionally for data-related tasks as needed.
Skills & Experience Required
- 7 years of experience in business analysis for IT systems, including developing functional and user requirements.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis processes, software development lifecycle, and UAT.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse user groups.
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes
- Uses Team Foundation Server (TFS), Microsoft Azure (projects currently managed using TFS are anticipated to be migrated to Azure in the near future), and Microsoft Test Manager
- Experience in Child Welfare or Human Services is highly desirable.
- IIBA certification is a plus.
