Rate: $34/hr W2 (All Inclusive) | $36/hr 1099/C2C
Job Summary:
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco Meraki technologies. This hybrid role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site visits as needed. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking protocols, firewall solutions, VPN configuration, and Meraki/Catalyst switch deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and support Cisco Meraki and Catalyst switches
- Design and implement secure network solutions, including Next-Gen Firewalls (FTD, ANS Cloud Firewalls)
- Maintain and troubleshoot IPSEC VPNs, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS protocols
- Collaborate across teams to implement and document firewall configurations and network architecture
- Ensure compliance with State of Ohio security and operational standards
Required Skills:
- 10 years of relevant experience in network engineering
- Extensive knowledge of Cisco Meraki (MS350, MS120, MS425 series) and firewall technologies (ASA5525, Firepower 2130/3120/3110/1120)
- Strong understanding of IPSEC, BGP, TCP/IP, MPLS, VRF
- Experience with Aruba wireless solutions is a plus
