Position Overview:
The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join the AtoZ Arizona initiative. This role will involve refining pre-existing designs, creating high-fidelity design artifacts and prototypes in Figma, and collaborating with executives, development teams, and various stakeholders. The goal is to craft a seamless, user-centric experience that enhances Arizona citizens access to state services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
- Present design concepts to executives and integrate feedback.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to maintain cohesive design standards.
- Own and update the design system, ensuring consistency in UI components.
- Build demos and visual materials for presentations.
- Provide development teams with design assets and specifications.
- Support usability testing and oversee WCAG compliance for accessible designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and recommend process improvements.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Figma, design systems, and prototyping.
- Solid understanding of responsive design, color theory, typography, and layout.
- Strong collaboration and presentation skills, both technical and non-technical.
- 3 years in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing web/mobile design projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML/CSS.
- Experience with user testing and data-driven design decisions.
- Strong visual storytelling skills for executive presentations.
- Experience managing design systems and brand consistency.
