POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Tester is a member of a team which plans, constructs, and executes product tests, system tests, unit tests, load tests, volume tests, network tests as well as works with others for release control processes. The more experienced Tester manages, plans, constructs, and executes tests and integrates with release control process. The applications testing specialist ensures the highest possible quality in software releases into production by managing testing functions and the test environment. This work will be accomplished by working with the QA Lead, and by assisting in the definition and development of processes to improve the software development and release process.
The applications testing team lead will work with the Business Relationship Manager and the Solutions Manager and their teams to coordinate cross development groups and activities of the SURE Modernization Project. EBR-DC s testing methodologies and experience will be utilized within this role to establish standards based on industry best practices. Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with SOAP UI, Load UI/Load Testing, SQL Server, LDAP, and Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
- 5 years' experience with Microsoft Test Manager or similar tool
- 2 years' experience with Microsoft Visio, Project, and Team Foundation Server (DevOps version)
- 2 years' experience with Agile methodology
- 3 years' experience in testing efforts, including test planning, test scenarios for SIT and UAT, and organizing users for effective testing.
Description
Agency: DOS - PA Department of State
The incumbent in this position will serve as a Quality Assurance (Tester) supporting the Department of State Elections Modernization project with in Employment, Banking and Revenue Delivery Center (EBR-DC)
Questions
Q1: This position is scheduled for a 40-hour work week (8 am 5 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Lunch break is negotiable). OST does not pay Overtime rates. Does the candidate agree with this schedule?
Q2: This position requires candidate to be onsite for 2 days at North Office Building in Harrisburg, PA. Can the candidate comply?
