Job Title: Citrix Engineer

Location: Oklahoma City, OK -Hybrid

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Citrix Architect to design, implement, and support our Citrix-based infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security for our enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Citrix technologies, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (formerly XenApp/XenDesktop), Citrix ADC), and Citrix Cloud, with a strong background in architecting end-user computing solutions. The Citrix Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that enhance user experience and meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Architecture: Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Citrix environments (Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud) for enterprise-wide deployment.
• Solution Implementation: Architect and deploy Citrix environments, ensuring scalability, high availability, and security across a variety of platforms (on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based).
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize Citrix environments to ensure high performance, reliability, and minimal downtime.
• Infrastructure Planning: Analyze business requirements and design Citrix solutions to meet end-user computing needs, application delivery, and security standards.
• Integration: Integrate Citrix solutions with other enterprise systems and technologies, such as Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, VMware, or AWS.
• Security: Design secure Citrix environments with a focus on data protection, access control, and secure application delivery.
• Migration & Upgrades: Manage the migration of legacy Citrix environments to newer versions and ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
• Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, security teams, and system administrators to ensure seamless integration of Citrix solutions.
• Documentation & Best Practices: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, configurations, and operational procedures, adhering to industry best practices.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Provide tier-3 support for complex Citrix-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive the resolution of technical problems.
• Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor internal teams on Citrix technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience with Citrix technologies including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), Citrix Cloud, and Citrix Endpoint Management.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying enterprise-scale Citrix infrastructures for virtual desktops, applications, and secure access solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy configuration and management in a Citrix environment.
• Experience with Citrix App Layering, Profile Management, and Citrix Director for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• In-depth understanding of Citrix licensing models and configuration.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and Citrix Cloud technologies.
• Security best practices for Citrix deployments, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), SSL certificates, and VPN configurations.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles, including load balancing, high availability, and WAN optimization.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a Citrix-based environment.
• Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
