Building Maintenance

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Property/Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our various commercial buildings, ensuring that all buildings and property are maintained as needed. This role requires a proactive, focused individual who can handle a wide variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs, and preventative measures. This candidate will be required to work independently and recognize areas in need of attention without the need for constant supervision. Assigned tasks will frequently change as needed and a reasonably clean driving record is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Create and follow a maintenance schedule (via a spreadsheet) for all mechanical and support systems that require maintenance by intervals. Examples include but are not limited to septic tank pumping, waste oil burners, oil burners, propane burners, fire extinguishers, air compressors and generators.
• Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify areas needing repair or attention.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues to minimize disruption to building operations.
• Assist in the implementation of energy-saving initiatives and environmentally friendly maintenance practices.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of all common areas, including parking lots, lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, and general construction.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move objects weighing a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record and reliable transportation.
• Personal tools to perform necessary work.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday
• On-call availability for emergency maintenance as requested but rarely needed.

Compensation:

· $48K - 55K Based on Experience and Product knowledge.
