Job Summary
The Assistant Property Manager plays a vital role in the effective management of residential or commercial properties. This position involves supporting the Property Manager in daily operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a background in property leasing, and the ability to manage conflicts and accounting effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the leasing process, including conducting property tours and processing applications.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to Rental Owners, Current Tenants and Prospective Tenants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Support facilities management by coordinating maintenance requests and overseeing property upkeep.
- Engage in upselling opportunities to enhance resident satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, accounting and property-related documentation using Buildium property management software.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager to develop marketing strategies for vacant units.
- Assist in conducting regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and proper maintenance.
- Handle conflict management situations with professionalism and tact, ensuring a positive living environment for all residents.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations is essential.
- Previous experience in property leasing or related fields is preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills..
- Conflict management skills to address tenant concerns diplomatically.
- Sales experience is beneficial for enhancing leasing efforts.
- Proficiency in office software and property management tools.

Experience with online social media marketing for properties for rent or for sale is a plus. Starting rate is $16.00 hourly with a raise after 90 days pending performance and skills.
