POSITION SUMMARY :
Reporting to the Master Scheduler, this position will coordinate the master schedule for the purpose of releasing jobs to Production using the ERP system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Review the master schedule to establish a daily schedule for each month.
- Plan future releases to level load the production schedule.
- Control releases for production lines ensuring jobs are started as planned.
- Identify alternative builds / components when possible if there is a core / part shortage.
- Coordinate efforts with Buyers to investigate and expedite material shortages in order to meet internal and external customer expectations.
- Communicate with production to maximize shop flow and output of finished goods.
- Understand and use the ERP system to create work efficiencies.
- Be able to read a bill of materials, work instructions, illustrated assembly process, and visual aids.
- Project current and forward 90 Days shipments weekly.
- Maintain WIP number for their designated production lines.
- Problem solve part shortages through expedites or deviations
- Develop expert level product knowledge of designated product lines
- Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company.
- Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
- Work attendance must be exemplary.
