The Embassy Suites by Hilton, located near the Charlotte Airport, is looking to fill a full-time Breakfast Cook position. The person hired for this position will work 5am-11am; weekday and weekend availability is required.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To prepare and service the daily complimentary breakfast, greeting each guest and ensuring that guests are 100% satisfied.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
- Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
- Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a customer facing position is required
- Ability to get to work on time as scheduled and work the early morning shift (breakfast area must be set up by 6 AM daily).
- Ability to present a professional demeanor, both in appearance and communication skills
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests
- ServSafe Certification preferred
- Must have basic knowledge of the proper use, maintenance, cleaning of industrial kitchen equipment, and food preparation.
JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees in this position work primarily indoors. Employees work in a customer- facing environment and must be able to provide excellent customer service at all times. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements. Employees must be able to walk, stand, bend, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
