SREE Hotels is looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist at our corporate office located in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte.
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our IT team as a Technology Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. Have strong foundation of Microsoft365, Active Directory, VMWare ESXI. You will respond to inquiries, diagnose, and troubleshoot problems in different types of technology, and escalate issues as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 365, including email, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Set up and maintain user accounts and access rights in Active Directory.
- Manage backups and disaster recovery procedures for systems and data.
- Assist with IT projects, including software upgrades, network upgrades, and equipment installations, Camera system, Phone Systems, Guest Room Automation
- Provide first-level technical support for employees, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues, network connectivity problems, and printer malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Strong understanding and basic configuration skills of Network Equipment (switches, routers, access points)
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Working from corporate office and traveling to different hotel locations when issues cannot be resolved remotely.
- Will assist in implementing and troubleshooting other modern technologies like Hotel Room Automation, IPTV, Camera systems and Voice over IP systems
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate personnel or vendor.
- Record events and problems and their resolution in logs.
- Follow-up and update user status and information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related IT Support field experience.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and related applications
- Knowledge of Active Directory, VMWare ESXI., and VOIP
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory based network.
- Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Valid Driver's License with a good Motor Vehicle Record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Open-Source Technology
- Familiarity with security best practices
Job Setting and Physical Demands
Employees in this position primarily work indoors but may need to perform some work outdoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to see differences between colors, shades, and brightness, hear sounds and recognize the difference between them, use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects, make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls. Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, crawl, reach and lift up to 30 lbs. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
