Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Build and assemble pallets for shipping while adhering to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Follow OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes and shipping/receiving operations is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual productivity.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices is essential.

Pay: $15.99 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
